Referral Agent Program – FAQ
How much does it cost to join?
We offer three affordable plans:
- Starter: $6.99/mo – 85/15 split
- Pro: $19/mo – 95/5 split
- Elite: $39/mo + $99 per transaction – 100% commission
How much is the commission split on my referral?
- Starter: 85% to you / 15% to company
- Pro: 95% to you / 5% to company
- Elite: 100% to you – $99 per transaction
Are there REALTOR® or MLS fees?
No. There are no REALTOR® or MLS dues for referral agents—just your selected plan fee.
How do I hang my license?
Click the “Hang My License Now” button, complete the form, and choose your plan. You’ll receive a welcome email and DocuSign packet to finalize onboarding.
Can I still sell real estate?
No. Referral agents cannot list or represent buyers, but you may refer yourself and earn a referral fee.
Can I refer clients to any agent?
Yes. You can refer to any licensed agent or brokerage with a signed referral agreement.
Can I refer to new construction builders?
Yes! Just make sure the builder registers you as the referring agent following their procedure.
How do I get paid?
We mail your check after the commission is received. You're responsible for paying your own taxes.
Do I need to complete CE requirements?
Yes. You must complete DRE continuing education to keep your license active and in good standing.
Will I be listed on the website?
Yes! All agents on active plans are listed on our website for increased visibility and trust.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan with a quick request. Changes apply at the end of your current billing cycle.
Do you offer referral bonuses for agents?
Absolutely! Refer an agent to Platinum Star Properties and earn $350 when they stay for 60 days and close a transaction.
